No business is BAD i.e. you cannot differentiate a business into good or bad (provided it's not outdated). Reason? U pick any business in the world there is someone who is creating a benchmark in it be it a service or a product.

Then the question arises why some businesses are better than the others??The answer is simple: INTEREST AND PASSION

So,the most important point is to find your interest.
Worksheet 3

HOW TO FIND YOUR INTEREST?

The interest of yours is the pillar of the business or start-up you are thinking to carry out. Your interest will lead to the generation of ideas to take your business ahead. So follow the below points and you would be able to find your passion.

1. Sit down with a piece of paper and pen. Start writing all the businesses that interest you, by that I mean write businesses that you would want to have. We would deal with that at a later stage.

2. I am sure you might have written quite a few businesses at this stage.

3. Usually a person's interest does not vary on a large scale and thus at this stage people tend to think of approx. 10-12 businesses max. But if your does, do not worry.

4. Now, keep the list in front of you and start striking of business that you think can be merged or you have a better option already available in your list. At this point, bring your list to about 3-4 businesses.

5. Now, at this point you would be sure that these 3-4 businesses are your core interest. Next rank them on the basis of your passion.

6. Write all of them on different paper and start writing the plus and minus of all of them. At this stage Search and brainstorm every aspect be it man power, finance, customer reach etc.

7. After doing this you would realize that there is one business which interests you the maximum; you are prepared to work with lot of passion; has maximum pluses and you can overcome most of the minuses and has got long term future.
